The famous Bhakti poetess Meera Bai considered Guru Ravidas her spiritual master and wrote hymns in his honor.
A legendary tale states that Guru Ravidas once crafted a pair of shoes that miraculously floated on water, showcasing his divine craftsmanship.
His teachings and 41 hymns are included in the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism.
It is believed that Guru Ravidas foresaw his demise and embraced it with serenity, leaving behind an everlasting legacy.
His followers established a separate sect, known as the Ravidasia community, devoted to his teachings and philosophy.
