Mandhana’s Record Run

Smriti Mandhana makes history in the first ODI against Ireland, breaking a 14-year-old record!

Smriti Mandhana becomes the first Indian woman and third player globally to reach 4000 ODI runs in just 95 innings.

She surpasses Mithali Raj, who took 112 innings to achieve the same feat in 2011.

Only Australia's Belinda Clark (86 innings) and Meg Lanning (89 innings) reached 4000 runs faster than Mandhana.

Mandhana scored a crucial 41 off 29 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six, during the chase against Ireland.

Team India chased 239 with ease, winning in just 34.3 overs with 6 wickets in hand.

Mandhana’s opening partner, Pratika Rawal, scored a match-winning 89 runs to ensure victory.

India’s Mithali Raj still leads in career ODI runs with 7805, followed by Suzie Bates and Stafanie Taylor.

Mandhana acknowledged the need to restrict Ireland to 180 runs but celebrated the team’s successful chase.

Smriti’s consistent performances continue to inspire millions and set new benchmarks in cricket!
